Further inspection at 11.30 at Ascot After an 8am inspection a further inspection is planned for 11.30am at Ascot to see if this afternoon's card can go ahead. Whether racing will go ahead is said to be a marginal decision. Officials are doing everything they can to navigate the areas of concern, principally on the back straight, down the hill on the hurdles track. They will be looking at realignment of hurdles and a change to the rail configuration in order to create a useable racing line. The forecast for this morning is positive. However, if that were to change, the situation would very likely alter.
