Galileo attracts Melbourne support The Dermot Weld trained Galileo's Choice has been well backed in the ante-post market for the Melbourne Cup on November 6. The gelding has been pencilled in for the Australian showpiece since winning the Ballyroan Stakes at Leopardstown last month and has recently been cut to 14/1 with Paddy Power Bookmakers. Paddy Power said: "We have laid chunky bets on Galileo's Choice for the past two days and his price has contracted to 14 from 25-1 during this time. Given that he is trained by Melbourne maestro Dermot Weld, we're taking the dough very seriously indeed."
