Galway figures The crowd at the fifth stage of the Galway Races summer festival was up this year. There were 29,421 paying patrons on site at Ballybrit this evening, an increase on the 27,093 in attendance twelve months ago. The Tote aggregate this year was 958,998, back from the 1,270,137 figure achieved in 2016. In the ring they handled 1,330,928 Euros today. Last year the bookmakers did 1,367,197.
