Following no overnight rain, the going at Galway ahead of Day One of the 2026 Festival is Good(National Hunt) and Yielding(Flat).

It is currently raining at Ballybrit and watering has ceased. Officials are monitoring the situation with regard to further watering.

Forecasters predict 1mm of rain today and tomorrow with the possibility of 4mm Tuesday night into Wednesday.

The first of seven races gets underway at 5.10.

Feature on the evening is the Connacht Hotel (Q.R.) Handicap at 6.40. The Willie Mullins trained Tounsivator currently heads the betting at 13/2.
