Bumper and maiden winner Monas Melody faces a couple of highly-rated rivals in the 1m6f conditions race at 4.20, but nonetheless Sam Curling's mare has been backed from 10/1 into 4/1 with Seamie Heffernan taking the mount.

Local trainer Paul Gilligan has had two winners at Galway this week and his charge Varna Gold , a fast-finishing third over hurdles on Friday, has been supported from 7/1 into 5/1 for the final race at 5.20 with Heffernan also in the saddle on this one.

A winner here on Tuesday, Imposing Supreme has got into the 7f handicap at 2.45 as third reserve with Chris Hayes on board.

Tom Gibney's charge is disputing favouritism at 11/4 with Li Mu Bai , and is bidding to remain unbeaten at Galway although his two wins at the course have come over a mile.

Raised 13lb for his latest success, the Alhebayeb gelding is 7lb 'well-in' today under his mandatory penalty.
