This month´s Hewlett-Packard Galway Plate, worth €200,000, will be the most valuable race ever staged at the Galway Festival.

The handicap chase will be run on Wednesday, July 27, the third of seven consecutive days of action at the track, which has a total prize fund of €1.7m.

The Guinness Galway Hurdle on the Thursday is worth €190,000, the biggest prize fund of any hurdle run in Ireland this year.
