Galway Plate winner dies of Colic Trainer Gordon Elliott has announced that his 2019 Tote Galway Plate winner Borice has sadly passed away. The gelded son of Network who turned nine yesterday was lost following a bout of colic. A sad day in Cullentra as we lost last year's Galway Plate winner Borice due to colic today. He ran up a hat-trick last summer for Elliott with wins at Uttoxeter and Perth before landing the €300,000 Galway Plate in the hands of Luke Dempsey.
