Galway winner Pateen will head to the Horses In Training Sale at Doncaster next month.

Successful at 50/1 on his debut at Killarney in May of 2016, the son of Vinnie Roe failed to follow-up on his next five starts.

Making his debut in handicap company at Ballybrit, the Shane Ryder trained five-year-old bounced back to form in style, coming home a comfortable five and a half lengths victor of what looked an ultra-competitive twenty runner contest.

"His owners have decided to send him to the Horses In Training Sale at Doncaster in the first week of September," Co. Galway based Ryder revealed.

"He is bouncing after Galway and has never been better. He has loads of potential and he'll probably be a better horse when he sees a fence. He is only getting going."
