Mullins will be aboard Whitcombe Spirit for Jamie Poulton in the opener at Lingfield today, the Haxted Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Chase. One prominent layer made Whitcombe Spirit a 16/1 chance when first pricing-up this contest on Wednesday and they only show 9/2 about the lightly-weighted seven-year-old now.
