Garswood takes the Lennox at Goodwood Garswood got up late on to win the bet365 Lennox Stakes under Ryan Moore at Glorious Goodwood. Richard Fahey has always held his European Free Handicap winner in high regard and he justified odds of 9/4 to just prevail from Caspar Netscher (10/1). Long-time leader Boom And Bust (20/1) held on for third. It wasn't easy for Garswood who made his challenge down the wide outside, but he always looked like he'd get the better of Caspar Netscher, who ran a fine race in what was his seasonal reappearance, in the final furlong. Moore said: "He was just running around a bit, he's still a bit immature but once he levelled off he found a good rhythm. I feel he's still learning and may improve a bit more. "The ground was no problem, it's just on the slow side and that was fine for him." Fahey added: "Once he came down the outside I always felt he was going to win. His early work was exceptional and as we've stepped him up in trip we've maybe got him too relaxed. "Long-term probably the Foret on Arc day is a race I've had an eye on for a few months so maybe we'll get our group one there."
