George Washington heads entries for Boylesports Irish 2000 Guineas George Washington is one of nine Aidan O'Brien trained entries for the Group 1 Boylesports Irish 2000 Guineas taking place at the Curragh this Saturday.

A total of nineteen horses have been left in the race following today's final forfeit stage, including three overseas challengers. Already winner of the Newmarket 2000 Guineas, George Washington bids for a famous double and the son of Danehill will put his unbeaten record on the line when he lines up for Ireland's first Classic race of 2006.

O'Brien's other entries include French 2000 Guineas winner and runner up Aussie Rules and Marcus Andronicus respectively. Also entered for this prestigious contest is the much improved Kevin Prendergast trained Decado who has already bagged two Stakes races at the Curragh this year.

Araafa, heads the overseas challenge when the Jeremy Noseda trained colt will attempt to go a few places better following his fourth place finish behind George Washington at Newmarket. Yasoodd who hails from the in form Mick Channon stable and the John Dunlop trained Tell are the other two British trained entries.

Alexander Goldrun is one of 10 entries for the Group 2 Ridgewood Pearl Stakes. Jim Bolger's globe trotting mare faces some interesting rivals, amongst them Luas Line who was one of the leading 3yos of last season. Also included amongst the entries are the British trained quintet of Bahia Breeze, Little Miss Gracie, Musicanna, Royal Alchemist and Sweet Treat.

Marcus Andronicus who also holds an entry in the Boylesports Irish 2000 Guineas is among 15 possibles for the Group 3 Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes. Aidan O'Brien is also represented by Amadeus Mozart. The Harry Rogers trained Moon Unit winner of this event 12 months ago and Miss Sally, a recent Stakes winner at Cork, also feature amongst the entries, while a strong British trained contingent is headed by the Danny Nicholls trained pair of Moss Vale and veteran sprinter Bahamian Pirate.

The Listed Isabel Morris Stakes has the makings of a very competitive contest and amongst the 15 entries is the British trained pair of Chief Editor and Fool Me. The home trained challenge looks particularly strong with the unbeaten quartet of Drayton, Country Song, Rose Of Battle and Twenty Questions all expected to fulfil their engagements on what promises to be exciting afternoon of top class racing starting at 2.15pm.
