Getabird on recovery mission at Fairyhouse Getabird aims to redeem his reputation in the Grade Two Rathbarry & Glenview Studs Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Monday. Willie Mullins' charge was a warm order for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham but after racing prominently, faded tamely and crossed the line in 11th place. He is joined by stablemates Sayar, Draconien and Sharjah, with Gordon Elliott calling on Hardline and Fred Winter winner Veneer Of Charm. Eddie Harty is represented by a new French import in Damalisque. "We haven't had him that long. He won his only hurdle race in France, which was a Listed contest," said Harty. "That meant places to start him off were few and far between, so he's running here not necessarily because I think he's a Grade Two hurdler, it's nearly the only place he can start." The Keelings Irish Strawberry Hurdle is another race dominated by Mullins and Elliott, with 10 of the 13 runners provided by the title-chasing duo. The Mullins squad includes Coral Cup winner Bleu Berry. Elliott fields Diamond Cauchois, Lieutenant Colonel and Barra. Jessica Harrington's former Champion Hurdle hero Jezki also features, as does Henry de Bromhead's Identity Thief.
