Gin On Lime among de Bromhead team for Galway Gin On Lime is one of four Henry de Bromhead trained horses that could line-up in the feature at Galway on Wednesday next, the Tote Galway Plate. A winner five times from six starts in 2021, the Doctor Dino bay has been a bit disappointing of late, going down by half-a-length at Limerick on her most recent start when sent off on odds-on chance. Notebook, a dual Grade 1 winner as a novice, is another potential de Bromhead representative, along with recent Midlands National fourth Bold Enough and the Roger Brookhouse owned Gabbys Cross. Ballyadam is the sole entry Knockeen entry in the Guinness Galway Hurdle. Another to have won at the highest level as a novice, the seven-year-old was last seen finishing a fine fifth of 20 in the County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March. "We have Ballyadam for the Hurdle and Gin On Lime, Bold Enough, Notebook and Gabbys Cross if he gets in for the Plate," de Bromhead said. "We decided to aim at this with Bold Enough after his good run in the Midlands National, while Gin On Lime ran very well in the novice chase there last year. "After Punchestown we felt Gabbys Cross fitted the profile to have a go at it but whether he's rated high enough to get in or not we'll see. "Ballyadam ran well at Cheltenham (fifth to State Man in the County Hurdle) and the Hurdle looks the right race for him."
