After 2mms of rain overnight the ground at the Curragh remains good to firm (good in places) on the straight course and good to firm on the round where there's selective watering.

There's a mainly dry weather forecast for an eight race card which is set to begin at 1.50.

The Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas is due off at 4.25 whilst the Group One Tattersalls Gold Cup is 35 minutes earlier at 3.50.

The ground at Ballinrobe (Monday and Tuesday) meanwhile is good following 2mm of rain overnight.

Selective watering resumes there today.

It'll remain cool with the risk of some heavy showers.
