Selective watering are words that haven't been used in connection with Irish racecourses for some time but the recent spell of good weather has resulted in much quicker ground at a number of jumping fixtures this weekend.

The going at Wexford remains good (good to yielding in places) ahead of today's meeting after selective watering overnight.

The first on an eight-race card gets underway at 3.55pm, with the 80-95 rated two-mile handicap hurdle divided.

Tramore are also putting some water on the track for their two-day meeting on Sunday and Monday. The going is currently described as good.

Meanwhile the flat action takes place at Gowran Park on Saturday and Leopardstown on Sunday.

The ground at Gowran Park is yielding, while Leopardstown is currently soft (yielding in places).

The forecast is generally dry today, with the risk of showers over the weekend.
