The going remains soft at Limerick ahead of tomorrow's student raceday, where the Hugh McMahon Memorial Novice Chase is the highlight on a valuable National Hunt card.

The seven races boast prizemoney of nearly €150,000, and Gigginstown have a strong entry in the Grade 3 feature with the likes of Cheltenham Festival winner Tiger Roll and Marinero.

Tiger Roll landed the four-mile chase at Prestbury Park, and earlier this season at Limerick also won the J T McNamara Munster National.

There was 2mm of rain overnight at Limerick, and the weather forecast is unsettled.

Meanwhile the going is currently heavy on both the sprint and round tracks at Cork where Flat racing takes place this Sunday.

There was 6mm of rain overnight, and further rain is expected both today and tomorrow.
