Plenty of rain around in some parts of the country over the weekend but many tracks missed the worst of it.

Limerick race on the Flat this afternoon and it’s good, good to firm in places after a dry night, with the forecast being for an overcast and showery day.

Kilbeggan race later in the afternoon, and the ground is good after 11.5mm of rain since Saturday, with a risk of showers.

Tiperary race over jumps on Wednesday and it’s good to yielding there (watering to maintain) after 10mm of rain over the weekend with a chance of showers over the next couple of days.

There’s racing on Wednesday at Leopardstown too, and it’s good to firm there after 7mm of rain since last Thursday. Watering is under way with light showers forecast before race day.

Sligo and Bellewstown both race on the Flat on Thursday and it’s good, good to firm in places at the latter with selective watering taking place. There’s light rain and drizzle expected over the coming days.

They also race on ‘the Hill’ on Saturday over jumps, and it’s good to firm for the National Hunt horse with watering continuing.

Navan is good to yielding ahead of Friday’s Flat meeting with a forecast for unsettled weather.
