More Flat racing at Naas this afternoon and maybe the Steiners of beer at the Oktoberfest-themed meeting will be called for by some to drown their sorrows after last night's galling defeat in the rugby.

The weather is set to be mainly dry and the ground is Soft, Soft to Heavy in places with 7-8 yards of fresh ground available.

The first on a cracking eight-race card starts at 1.05pm with the Irish EBF Auction Series Race Final being the most valuable event backed up by the Colm White Bookmaker November Handicap and a pair of Listed contests for fillies and mares.

It will be dry at Cork too where, after two drying days, the ground is now Yielding with some Yielding to Soft places on the hurdle/bumper course. The first of eight races gets under way at 1.25pm.

There are two days of Flat racing at Gowran on Monday and Tuesday and the ground is Heavy. It's set to remain cool and dry for the coming days.
