Flat racing returns to Gowran on Wednesday and Thursday, with the ground there currently soft, soft to heavy in places.

While the forecast is for mainly dry weather, there is the possibility of approximately 3.5mm of rain on Thursday morning.

Even more rain (10-12mm approximately) is due at Bellewstown ahead of racing there on Saturday, with the ground at the Meath venue currently soft, yielding to soft in places.

The action moves to Down Royal and Leopardstown on Sunday, and the latter venue is currently described as good to yielding, with the forecast for unsettled weather.

Down Royal is yielding, good to yielding in places on the hurdle track, while it's good to yielding on the chase course, with selective watering in operation.

The forecast is mainly dry today and tomorrow, but turning more unsettled thereafter with the possibility of 20-25mm of rain (approximately) through to racing.
