Goldikova nears return Freddie Head reports his wonder-mare Goldikova to be in the form of her life ahead of yet another season of top-level racecourse action. The six-year-old secured a remarkable third successive victory in the Breeders' Cup Mile at Churchill Downs in November, her 12th triumph in Group or Grade One company. The ultimate aim for this year is to return to America at the end of the season and a similar campaign awaits. "Goldikova is very well - as well as ever. She couldn't be better at the moment," said Head. "Her first run of the year will be in the Prix D'Ispahan at Longchamp in May over nine furlongs, just like last year. "She is just doing normal work at the moment but she is cantering nicely and is very well. I'm very happy. "We would love to get back to the Breeders' Cup with her, but we will see."
