Goldrun Heads Nassau Possibles

Jim Bolger´s international star Alexander Goldrun heads 18 fillies and mares standing their ground in Saturday´s Vodafone Nassau Stakes at Goodwood on Saturday.

Winner of the Hong Kong Cup last winter and the Pretty Polly Stakes last month, the four-year-old could be joined in the race by fellow Irish raider Hazarista from John Oxx´s yard.

Sir Michael Stoute, successful 12 months ago with Favourable Terms, could bid for a repeat having left in Red Bloom at the five-day stage for this Group One contest over a mile and a quarter.

New Morning and Tarfah are other notable names from the older division while Lingfield Oaks Trial winner Cassydora, along with Joint Aspiration, Karen´s Caper and Penkenna Princess are some of those representing the Classic generation.

Aidan O´Brien has Virginia Waters engaged along with Mona Lisa while Gyreka is the only Germany entry.
