The Henry de Bromhead-trained Gomez Addams justified his 13/8 price with success in the Listowel Races Supporters Club Maiden Hurdle for jockey Darragh O'Keeffe. O'Keeffe was always handy throughout, and a mistake at the last gave a glimmer of hope to the Joseph O'Brien-trained Small Fry who flew home, but it was Gomez Addams, who recorded his second win in three starts, that came out on top.

Speaking after the race, jockey Darragh O'Keeffe said: "He is a lovely horse, jumped brilliantly the whole way and got into a good rhythm. It is a quick track around here today and while he winged the second-last, he almost over-jumped it and was green going to the last, which he got underneath.

"His schooling was very good and hopefully he can come on from it. I thought it was a nice first run over hurdles and a good performance."
