Gomez To Partner Wilko In World Bid Jeremy Noseda has revealed Garrett Gomez will ride Wilko in the Dubai World Cup at Nad Al Sheba on March 25.The jockey will be continuing his association with the Awesome Again colt, having already ridden him twice this year, including a third-place finish in the Grade One Santa Anita Handicap earlier this month. Wilko, who Noseda trained to win the Breeders' Cup Juvenile in Texas in 2004, has been with Californian handler Craig Dollase.But the four-year-old will once again come under Noseda's care for a crack at the lucrative Dubai contest, staged on dirt. He is set to be the first World Cup runner for the Newmarket-based trainer, who has already struck three times at the 2006 renewal of the International Racing Carnival.Wilko is due to fly into Dubai on Wednesday, having been accompanied on his journey from America by Noseda's travelling head groom John Davis. Speaking on his website, www.jeremynoseda.com , Noseda commented: 'Craig told me that the horse trained fabulously on Monday and John also said that he looks in very good order.'The horse will arrive in Dubai on Wednesday evening where he will join Montgomery's Arch and Vague, who are both still out there. 'Garrett Gomez will ride Wilko in the World Cup. He has ridden the horse on both of his starts this year.'(C) PA Sport
