As well as Aidan O'Brien's dual Group 1 strike with smart two-year-old colts Puerto Rico and Pierre Bonnard at Saint Cloud yesterday, there was also Pattern race success for Paddy Twomey as La Isla Mujeres made all under Billy Lee for an impressive five and a half lengths victory in the Group 3 Prix Belle de Nuit.

Owned by Moyglare Stud Farm, the daughter of Lope De Vega had previously won twice at Listed level.

Galway native David Loughnane, who trains in Shropshire, also enjoyed Group 3 success on the Saint Cloud card with Sparks Fly winning the Prix Perth by four lengths under regular rider Laura Pearson.

The Muhaarar mare, a confirmed soft-ground specialist, has been a wonderful servant to connections and this was her twelfth win from 25 starts. She had previously won four times at Listed level, three of those wins coming at Saint Cloud, and this was her first victory in a Group race.
