Following a dry 24 hours, the ground at Galway is now good (National Hunt) and yielding (Flat) with selective watering to take place this morning.

The forecast for today is for mainly dry weather with possible occasional showers.

It's jumping all the way for the next three days at Ballybrit before the Flat returns for the last two days of the festival at the weekend.

An eight race card today gets under way at 4.35pm with the featured Tote Galway Plate due off at 6.15pm.

Day 2 of Goodwood also takes place this afternoon with the action getting underway at 1.50pm. The ground has dried slightly since yesterday and is now described at Soft (6.1 on going stick).

The forecast is for sunny spells with isolated showers.

Jim Bolger's Poetic Flare will face just eight rivals in the Group 1 Sussex Stakes at 3.35pm as both Battleground and Chindit are now non-runners.
