John and Thady Gosden's Cheveley Park Stud-owned filly Coaxed booked a possible return ticket to France next spring after digging deep to win the Group Three Prix des Reservoirs at Chantilly.

Victory in the one-mile contest, by three-quarters of a length under Christian Demuro, left connections with a winter of dreaming about Classic targets including the first two in France at ParisLongchamp and Chantilly.

“That will be that for the season now but she relished the soft ground and loved being in front,” said Chris Richardson, racing manager to the owners.

“When she won first time out she went from the front but she had her ears pricked here and enjoyed herself.

“Now we can maybe dream of going back to France for the French Guineas or the French Oaks in due course.”

Coaxed is bred in the purple being by Baaeed out of Persuasive who won the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes for John Gosden as a four-year-old in 2017.

“We have a full-brother to Coaxed who we took to the sales but didn't sell and he goes into training now which is quite exciting,” said Richardson, who also had some news about the recently retired mare Estrange.

“We are still mulling things over with regard to Estrange but we are thinking we might send her to Sea The Stars to be covered next spring and then the whole cycle of dreaming starts again.”
