Racing will go ahead as scheduled at Gowran Park tomorrow after the track passed an inspection this afternoon.

Concerns over the meeting heightened after some snow this morning but officials gave the green light after an inspection of the course this afternoon.

Clerk of the Course Paddy Graffin said, "I was pleasantly surprised when I walked the track, and it is fit for racing.

"It's a great tribute to the sterling work done by the staff here despite all the worst of the weather that’s been thrown at us.

"The forecast is pretty good and unless there is a rogue shower we won't have any problems. There is no plan at the moment to have a precautionary inspection in the morning, and the forecast is good for tomorrow."

The going remains heavy.
