Gowran up next for Theophilus Des McDonogh is eyeing a race at Gowran on January 22 for Theophilus after the young prospect made a successful debut over hurdles at Leopardstown over Christmas. Theophilus won first time on the Flat at Gowran last April when trained by Jim Bolger and had just one more run on the level before joining McDonogh's team and trying his hand over jumps. "He won first time on the Flat by nine lengths in a maiden in Gowran Park, so I think he might go back for a winners' hurdle in Gowran at the end of the month," said the County Meath trainer. "I'm going to run him there for the experience. He's a gorgeous horse. "My other good four-year-old hurdler Fiscal Focus is not eligible for that as he's won he a graded race. "As for Cheltenham, one of them might run in the Supreme. I wouldn't be afraid to do that. Four-year-olds can run well in it. Binocular was that age when he was second. "It's just a possibility and I wouldn't want to run one against the other anyway."
