Grade 1 winners to the fore in Galway Hurdle A maximum field of 20 runners plus three reserves have been declared for Thursday's highlight at Galway Racecourse, the Guinness Galway Handicap Hurdle. The three horses at the head of the weights are all previous Grade 1 winners, Aramon, Petit Mouchoir and Felix Desjy. Felix Desjy, the mount of Davy Russell, is priced up as 7/1 co-favourite following a recent Flat Maiden victory as he attempts to provide trainer Gordon Elliott with a first win in the prestigious race. Tony Martin is claiming five pounds off last year's winner Tudor City (the mount of Sean O'Keeffe) as he looks to win the big prize for the fourth time in seven years. This will be Tudor City's first race over hurdles since last year's famous victory. Champion trainer Willie Mullins is responsible for five of the final twenty including Monday's Amateur Riders Flat Maiden winner Mt Leinster. Hunters Call (Olly Murphy) and Fair Mountain (Dan Skelton) are two British trained runners hoping to emulate the success of Overturn for Donald McCain in 2010. See all the runners and riders HERE
