Grant discharged from hospital Danny Grant suffered no lasting damage in a nasty fall at the Curragh on Friday night. Grant was taken to hospital following a tumble from Waydownsouth in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund 'Ragusa' Handicap, with the rider reported to have been knocked out for two minutes. It was also initially thought he had suffered wrist and back injuries, but the Irish Turf Club's chief medical officer Dr Adrian McGoldrick says that is not the case. He said: "Danny is fine and has been discharged from hospital. "He has suffered a severe concussion but other than that he is just a bit sore. He will be stood down for six days. "When you see the fall, you realise how lucky he has been."
