Greatrex eyes Irish Gold Cup glory Warren Greatrex will send his star mare La Bague Au Roi back to Leopardstown for the Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup on Sunday. La Bague Au Roi won the Grade 1 Flogas Novice Chase at last year’s Dublin Racing Festival, and her trainer has confirmed she will return to Leopardstown in search of further success in the blue-riband over three miles. He said: "She won there last year over two (miles) five (furlongs). They tell me that if you can handle Leopardstown you should keep going back because it is a track you need to act on. It was the plan. "The ground tends to dry up there which would help. I see they have been watering but I think they are stopping now because they think there might be a bit of rain coming. "From what the forecast says, it doesn't look like the ground is going to be too bad - the better the ground the better our chance."
