Ground changes at Aintree The official going on the Grand National course changed from Soft to Soft, Good To Soft in places on Tuesday afternoon. Andrew Tulloch, Clerk of the Course and Director Of Racing at Aintree Racecourse, explained: "It has been a bright sunny day and breezy, which means the courses have dried a bit. "The forecast showers today did not occur but there are more due this week. The rain yesterday was welcome and the courses are in perfect condition."
