Willie McCreery is on weather watch ahead of Insinuendo's potential crack at the Group One Yorkshire Oaks next week.

The Gleneagles mare relishes cut in the ground and, if the ground proves unsuitable in York, is likely to be rerouted to the Curragh for a Group 3 a couple of days later.

The trainer said: "If the rain comes, we will go to the Yorkshire Oaks otherwise we will stay in the Curragh (for the Snow Fairy Stakes).

"The trip (extended 1m 3f) in the Yorkshire Oaks will suit her, but she needs to get softer ground."

She was last seen finishing unplaced in the Group One Pretty Polly in the Curragh at the start of July.

Insinuendo would be bidding for a breakthrough success at the highest level in York having scored in Group 2 and Group 3 contests.

She was placed over a similar trip to the Yorkshire Oaks in the Group One Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot in October.
