With the right ground, Henry de Bromhead plans to run Troytown winner Chris’s Dream in Sunday’s Grade 1 Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup at the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown.

De Bromhead told Dave Keena that he was very impressed with Chris’s Dream in Navan, and that the plan is to run at the weekend provided the going is suitable.

The trainer said: "It is subject to ground, he definitely likes a nice ease in the ground. We'll monitor that and see - if it is only just watered ground it probably wouldn't be ideal for him.

"He would definitely want the word 'soft' in the going description, so we will see nearer the time.

"He was really good (in the Troytown) and Robbie Power was brilliant on him on the day. He rode him like the best horse in the race and he was really good.

"It was a lovely performance. He is a horse that we think doesn't need too many runs in a season, so we said we would put him away and aim towards the spring.

"All good and hopefully we will get to run him next weekend."
