Ground eases at Doncaster The going at Doncaster has changed to good to soft (soft in places) after 3.8 millimetres of rain overnight. Roderick Duncan, Clerk of the Course at Doncaster, said: "I am delighted with the course after three days of racing. It always drains fairly well but I think the work we did prior to this meeting - verti-draining - has really helped the water get away. "The runners so far this week have not knocked the course about too much. We had 3.8 millimetres overnight - that was a little bit less than some of the forecasts were predicting which is grand. "I have called the going Good to Soft (soft in places). The usual spots we would expect to be easier are besides the Bawtry Road and between five and six-furlong poles which always hangs on to the moisture a bit more. We have got tickets available for an exciting day."
