Ground eases further at Down Royal Following a further 3mm of rain overnight, the going for today's Magners Ulster Derby meeting at Down Royal is yielding to soft (soft in places) on the round course and yielding on the straight course. The original good to firm surface was hit with over 15mm of rain on Friday, although there will be fresh ground in use this afternoon following yesterday evening's National Hunt fixture. The seven race all Flat meeting gets underway at 2.40pm, and a competitive field of 11 runners line up for the feature at 4.10pm. Alan Magee
