Gavin Cromwell is watching the weather before making a decision on a target for Snellen at the Irish Champions Festival.

The consistent daughter of Expert Eye holds entries in two Group 2 contests, the Solonaway Stakes at Leopardstown and the Moyglare “Jewels” Blandford Stakes at the Curragh.

She was last seen in winning action at Leopardstown in mid-July, when taking the Group 3 Meld Stakes.

"I suppose ground is going to play a big part in that decision. I'll reserve the call on that one until we get a bit closer to it,” said Cromwell.

When it was put to her that she might want her preferred ground to step up in trip for the ten furlong Blandford he added:- “Absolutely.

"She probably will run (over the weekend) unless it is going to be very testing, she will more than likely run. We are looking forward to her.

"She won a Group 3 at Leopardstown and she has been good since then. We would love to have a go at a Group 2."
