Halford to make late call with Anamba Michael Halford is set to make a late call on whether to declare Anamba for the C.L. & M.F. Weld Park Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday. The daughter of Shamardal made a winning debut when getting the better of the experienced and highly-regarded Coolmore over seven furlongs at Leopardstown earlier this month. Halford reports the filly, owned by Godolphin, to be in good form, but will wait before making up his mind whether to pitch her straight into Group Three company. "She's a very smart filly and she's come out of the race really well," said the County Kildare handler. "She holds an entry on Sunday. We'll make a decision on Friday morning."
