Fresh from saddling his first double in Ireland at his local track, Downpatrick trainer Brian Hamilton aims to send Wither Hills on the long journey to Killarney.

The eight-year-old gelding hacked up in the Longines World Fegentri (Ladies) Handicap over a mile and a half in the Curragh before contesting the qualified riders' handicap at the Galway Festival in which he finished down the field.

Hamilton said: "The owners want to run him at Killarney and I'm looking at a mile and six race.

"The two miles at Galway was a bit far for him on the Flat. There are opportunities on the Flat for him at the moment, but I wouldn't rule out going over jumps again. He has come out of Galway well. He doesn't take a lot of racing close together as he likes to be fresh.

"The reason we ran him in Galway was because his Curragh win was only a piece of work for him. He got it handy there."
