Hanlon hoping that Kilkishen can shine at Limerick 'Shark' Hanlon is hoping for another big run from the consistent Kilkishen in Sunday's Ladbrokes Munster National at Limerick. The nine-year-old has collected prize-money four times this summer and Hanlon thinks there is a big day in the Oscar gelding. Softening ground will aid the chances of the Sean Hehir-owned gelding with Hanlon feeling it will bring out his stamina in the three-mile contest. The Bagnelstown handler confirmed his charge was on course for Limerick:- “That's the plan and hopefully there will be a cut in the ground. “The whole summer he's been running well but he just needs a cut in the ground. He gets outpaced during the race, every race. “In Kilbeggan Richie Condon gave him a great ride, got him back going again, and when he came to the finish he couldn't pull him up. “He gets outpaced, about a mile out, he's that kind of a horse and then he comes and flies home again. “I think the Munster National could suit him. There probably will be a cut in the ground and he's an old horse that could just pick up a big pot like that at some stage. “It's important to have a nice horse in the yard. When you get up and go out in the morning it's great to have a horse there that you can look forward to. “He never runs a bad race and he'd be one of our stars at the moment. “There are a couple of horses this year that I'm really looking forward to and with a bit of luck we might pick out another good one this year.”
