Hannon and Hughes grab Longchamp win Richard Hannon enjoyed Group One glory at Longchamp in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere with Olympic Glory. The two year old didn't appear to be travelling particularly well for Richard Hughes on his first start in the colours of Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani. However, the son of Choisir - who had chased home Dawn Approach in the Coventry before winning both the Superlative and Vintage Stakes - gradually began to improve on his midfield position for pressure. Jamie Spencer had got first run on the market leader aboard Kevin Ryan's Indian Jade but Hughes always looked like reeling the pair in in the seven furlong contest and the fast finishing What A Name appeared more of a threat. The post came too soon for Mikel Delzangles' filly who had to settle for second. Irish raider Pedro The Great didn't trouble the leaders in fifth under Joseph O'Brien for his father Aidan.
