Hannon hails remarkable Paco Richard Hannon has hailed Paco Boy as "remarkable" as his stable stalwart prepares for his final race in the Hong Kong Mile next weekend. The five-year-old has won 11 of his 23 races, including three Group Ones, and has had the misfortune of bumping into Goldikova on more than one occasion. It had been thought he ran his last race at the Breeders' Cup but Hannon says he is so well they have nothing to lose by running him at Sha Tin before he heads off to Highclere Stud. "He is remarkable this horse. He has been on the go since April and run endless great races against the best milers in the world," said Hannon. "Without the great Goldikova he would have two more Group Ones to his name. "He seems to have come home from the US in even better nick than when he went out so as a result I rang John Warren (owner of Highclere Stud) and said we ought to seriously consider going to Sha Tin. "He wasn't suited to the tight turns at Churchill Downs and he was far better than his finishing position in fourth. "His finishing time in the straight there was reported to have been a record. "He has never been the best mover in his slower paces but he is moving better than I have ever seen him in the mornings, despite the temperature well below freezing."
