Hans Andersen is likely to return to action in the coming days, with engagements at the Curragh and Kempton respectively.

The winner of a 2000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown in April, the Aidan O'Brien-trained bay disappointed on his sole start since in the French 2000 Guineas at Longchamp.

The Frankel colt is now set for a step-up in trip, with both of his immediate options over a mile-and-a-half.

Speaking at Dundalk on Wednesday, Stable representative Chris Armstrong said: "He is in both places - the Curragh (the Finale Stakes) Sunday and Kempton (the Racing TV Floodlit Stakes) Monday.

"He has got the penalty in both places, but the idea at the moment is to get him out and get a run into him.

"He's coming back off a long break, he is going nicely at home. If he was to come back and go nicely in one of these races, there's an option of possibly going to Hong Kong at the end of the year.

"He won at Leopardstown at the start of the year on heavy ground. He is going up a fair bit in trip, but we don't think the trip will be an issue.

"We will look at it over the next 24 hours and we will see where we are going to go.

"That's the plan (Hong Kong) - he won the trial and went to the French Guineas and came back with a slight setback with pulling a muscle.

"His work has been nice at home. He is another exciting son of Frankel and if he was to come out and win, even with the penalty, it would open up a door of going to Hong Kong.

"Then he would be an exciting four-year-old to look forward to for next year."
