Harmani Gains Deserved Success for Lyons Harmani, who was in behind the likes of Charles Darwin last season, was an impressive winner of the Boylesports Three-Year-Old Handicap for trainer Ger Lyons and jockey Colin Keane. The 3/1 son of Phoenix Of Spain ran out an extremely easy six-length winner. Constantly on the front end throughout the contest, he was able to assert in the final furlong before drawing clear of his rivals in impressive fashion. Speaking after the race, trainer Ger Lyons said: "He did (enjoy the extra distance). He's hard work from the parade ring to the track but, once you are on him, he's grand. "He's maturing mentally quietly away, and we were hoping that the step up in trip would see the improvement. "That's just what Colin said (see him going further). "We'll go and enjoy him and then he'll end up in Olly Murphy's, or somewhere like that, jumping when we are finished with him." (Quotes from Michael Graham)
