Harmani Gains Deserved Success for Lyons Sent off 3/1 second-favourite, Harmani, who was in behind the likes of Charles Darwin last season, was an impressive winner of Down Royal's BOYLE Sports Daily Racing Rewards Handicap in the hands of Colin Keane. The son of Phoenix Of Spain ran out an extremely easy six-length winner of the extended mile and a-quarter contest. The winner headed Oust over a furlong out and was able to assert in the final furlong before drawing clear of his rivals in impressive fashion. Winning trainer Ger Lyons opined "He did (enjoy the extra distance). He's hard work from the parade ring to the track but, once you are on him, he's grand. "He's maturing mentally quietly away, and we were hoping that the step up in trip would see the improvement. "That's just what Colin said (see him going further). "We'll go and enjoy him and then he'll end up in Olly Murphy's, or somewhere like that, jumping when we are finished with him." (Quotes from Michael Graham)
