Trainer Jessica Harrington is hoping that Green Impact can make the most of a drop in class in the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Glencairn Stakes at Leopardstown on Thursday.

Last seen when finishing an honourable sixth in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, the Wootton Bassett colt subsequently missed an intended engagement in the French Derby.

Twice successful at the Foxrock track as a juvenile, Green Impact beat current Epsom Derby favourite Delacroix on both occasions.

Racing beyond a mile for the first time in his career, Harrington is expecting the additional furlong to play to his strengths: “I'm looking forward to him. He’s got to run somewhere, it was just unfortunate he missed the French Derby but he just wasn’t quite right and with the travelling we would have had to leave earlier.

“I’m looking forward to running him, going up in trip is the main thing.”
