Harrington thinks Oscars up against it

Jessica Harrington is concerned the lack of race fitness might cost Oscars Well on his seasonal reappearance in the WKD Hurdle at Down Royal tomorrow.

The dual Grade One novice hurdle winner has his first outing since finishing fourth in the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March.

He takes on four rivals in this Grade Two contest, ahead of a possible clash with Champion Hurdle winner Hurricane Fly in the Ladbrokes.com Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown on November 20.

"We're very happy with him, but The Real Article is the one to beat because he's fit," she said.

"Bleakfield Lady's had a run but most of the others haven't. Kalann has won recently on good to firm ground but this will be soft.

"Anyway we'll see what happens with him."
