Harty taking it slowly with Foru

Eddie Harty will adopt a softly-softly approach with the JP McManus-owned Minella Foru.

The Grade Three-winning hurdler has not quite set the world alight in three tries over fences, but he has had the misfortune of running against the likes of Vautour, Un De Sceaux and Sizing Granite.

Harty said: "He's been in some good races, but I've been happy enough with him and his jumping has been pretty good.

"There are no ambitious plans with him at the moment, but we'll see how things progress.

"He's had three fairly quick runs over fences so I wouldn't expect you'd see him in the next few weeks."
