Gordon Elliott enjoyed a one-two in the Pepsi Max Hurdle at Down Royal as He Can't Dance made all and fended off stablemate Timeless Treaty

He Can't Dance was last seen scoring on heavy ground at Limerick last month, and much better ground didn't inconvenience him today.

James Smith dictated throughout on He Can't Dance (13/8) and try as 10/11 favourite Timeless Treaty did on the run-in, he was still half a length in arrears at the winning post.

Smith, in the Gigginstown House Stud colours, said: "I just got an easy lead in front - went nice and steady, and then quickened it up kind of going down the back the last time, and kept going.

"My lad was a bit lazy, and kind of ran in snatches, but he was always doing enough.

"He loved the ground."
