Joseph O’Brien is on the verge of a major career landmark and victory for Heartbeat Supreme at Dundalk this evening would see the Owning trainer reach the 1,500-winner mark worldwide.

O’Brien, who saddled his first winner in June 2016 and has recorded major victories around the globe including two Melbourne Cups, an Irish Derby and success at the Breeders' Cup, is set to reach the 1,500 milestone quicker than his father Aidan.

Heartbeat Supreme is set to go off at odds-on in the Put The Fun In Fundraising At Dundalk Maiden at 5.30pm and is joined in the mile event by stablemates Royal Sapphire and Picadilly Reserve

Elsewhere on this seven-race card beginning at 4.28, the owner/trainer combination of James McAuley and Denis Hogan are four-handed in the Floodlit Fridays At Dundalk Claiming Race with The Liffey and Mehman holding obvious chances while Benavente and Fleetfootsoldier can’t be lightly discounted.

There is a disappointing turnout of just three in the featured BAR 1 Betting & Casino Rated Race at 6.30pm and, in the absence of Dusty Rock, this should develop into a match between Friendly Invoice and Sayonara

Grade 1-winning hurdler Ballyadam bids to open his account on the Flat at the tender age of 11 in the Happy Valentine’s Weekend Maiden (7.00).
