There is a big change in the conditions at Royal Ascot ahead of Day 4 with 19mm of rain overnight and the ground now described as Soft.

More showers are expected throughout the day.

The betting markets ahead of today's action have been very volatile this morning with a number of proven mudlarks shortening considerably in the betting. The Johnny Murtagh-trained Create Belief 14/1 - 6/1 is now favourite for the Sandringham Handicap .

The Ado McGuinness-trained A Case Of You 18/1 - 12/1 is also strong in the betting for the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup while the Irish-trained fillies are all shortening in the feature event of the day, the Group 1 Coronation Stakes.

Aidan O'Brien's Newmarket 1000 Guineas winner Mother Earth had been joined at the head of the market by son Joseph's Pretty Georgous 5/1 - 7/2 with another O'Brien runner, Irish 1000 Guineas winner Empress Josephine 7/1 - 9/2, also coming in for support.
